Seyed Emadi is an Associate Professor of Operations at Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC-Chapel Hill. Seyed got his Ph.D. in Operations Management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and His BS and MSc degrees in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology. His research is focused on causal inference, structural estimation, and empirical service and retail operations. In particular, Seyed is interested in understanding customer decision-making processes using tools ranging from reduced-form analyses and structural estimation to machine/AI. Seyed has received the MBA Teaching All-Star award every year since 2018. Before his academic life, Seyed was the CEO of a high-voltage device research company and an electrical engineer.
